Just like NHL teams, the Mustangs have a coaching change for the 2024 camp. Makenna Newkirk, who has coached the last two years, is unable to make it this summer. In Makenna's absence we are adding two active NCAA women's hockey players. Coach bios are below.
Karley Garcia is a Senior defenseman at Penn State University NCAA Division I women's hockey team, where she plays for Makenna Newkirk. Before college, Karley played at the North American Hockey Academy (NAHA) Tier I in Massachusetts. She lives in Sacramento, CA and has family here in Albuquerque.
